Marylin Monroe knocks it out of the park in the few, short scenes she’s in.
LOVE the way she staggers into this scene, slightly bow legged, as if to say, “Boy, I’ve been auditioning all night! More than once!” (I don’t know how they got away with the implication of this)
Well I can’t yell ‘Oh Butler’can I? Maybe somebody’s name is Butler.” Beautiful delivery.
“Why do they always look like unhappy rabbits?”
Mankiewicz (director/adaptor) probably gave her some of the best material of her career in this movie.
