Watched the first episode. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. All the charm and wit has gone. David Duchovny is Basil Exposition. Someone please tell me it gets better.
adrian-rowe, as a matter of fact I DO have something wrong with my brain. I have dyscalculia, the numerical version of dyslexia. I also suffer from depression, but back to The X Files. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I’m glad if you enjoyed the first episode of the show. I can only hope that advance reports of improvement can be detected by my malfunctioning brain. Btw, I up-voted your comment because lively debate is important.
I haven’t seen any of the episodes yet, I like to ‘binge watch’, and I’m going to wait until the series concludes before I start watching (if I’m not mistaken, the last episode premiers next week).
I’ve seen some of the reviews of the first episode, and many were not very complimentary; however, the reviews I’ve seen for the other episodes were positive.
Woohoo! 3rd Episode written and directed by Darin Morgan (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darin_Morgan) who wrote some of the best episodes in the show including Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose. There was some criticism of this one for being too silly www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NS7Gkv4NNA and comedic, but I loved it. Chris Carter seems to have forgotten how to have fun.
WOW! Hilary is DESPERATE to pull the spotlight off Trump. Or perhaps to highlight how easy it is to get people’s attention by hollering absolute nonsense, which is kind of clever and dumb at the same time. Btw Mr Deckard, did you watch the entire season, and if so, what did you think? (personally I thought the final episode was terrible)
Btw, I do agree with the guy on the panel who says it’s statistically impossible for their not to be life somewhere else in the universe. As Arthur C Clarke put it, “Two possibilities exist. Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.” But whether that life is evolved enough to visit us is a moot point.
I think you might have something wrong with your brain as this new show rocks.

If you consider your uniqueness to be something wrong with you, the world needs more wrongy people.
Thank ye kindly crowjedithing!
That would be the Minah Bird; Warner Bros 1943.

Just seen second episode written and directed by James Wong (an old X Files hand). WE’RE BACK IN BUSINESS. That was a doozy. Welcome back old friend!

I have not watched the season yet. We have a bit of a backlog of programming to watch. When I get around to watching it, I’ll post my thoughts.
