    Incorrect. Dems may not always agree enough to vote together, and they’re typically spineless against the opposition, but they do give a shit about Joe Public. The Republicans, however, only care if you’re old, rich, and white. With a few token minorities and women.

    Politicians care about their own re-election, the election of politicians of the same party as it helps them personally, anyone who helps them get re-elected and that is about it. Occasionally, a politician will do something which incidentally helps their constituents but that is little more than a coincidence. Anyone who thinks any politician gives a rat’s ass about them is hopelessly naive.
