I’m really not into the multiplayer side of Halo, which might be an odd thing to say considering that most people consider Halo: CE and Halo 2’s multiplayer to be one of the defining features of the series, but there’s just too much of a difference in the play style and tactics and not enough new stuff going on to keep my attention. So that being said, I can’t really speak to the apparently tragedy that is Halo: MCC’s multiplayer.
All the content of this collection is the same exact game you’ve played before, with the exception of Halo 2 Anniversary, which was pretty well done, though it had some stupid bullshit shoehorned in from Halo 5 : Guardians that makes absolutely no sense at all in the context of the Halo 2 storyline, but was there none the less. I was able to play through all the campaigns in time for Halo 5, which was great, cause I got to sit around for a couple days waiting for it to be delivered from the online Microsoft Store.
There’s not much that’s surprising in this package, but it’s damn convenient to have them all digitally installed and be able to jump from halo 3 to halo 4 back to halo 2 without any disk changing. If you’re a Halo fan, this is a must have, if you’re not, this is a curiosity at best, there’s nothing here that’s too amazing.
