Population demographics are:
White:45%
Hispanic:28%
Black:25%

90% of police “stop and frisk” aimed at Blacks and Hispanics.
Crime rates highest in the Bronx and Brooklyn….highest black population as well….but also the highest poverty rate.

Hard to know how to digest these stats.

And Correlation vs Cause/Effect are very difficult to determine in population studies.
