Which consisted of opposing Southern Democrats. A year later in 1866 the Klan apparently stopped and disbanded or en masse registered as Republicans. Are you absolutely sure about that?

LBJ was a southerner and a democrat and President until 1969. He said “I’ll have those ennwurds voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” Hmm. Might he not get along rather well with the guy in the video? Well that was 46 years ago.
Robert Byrd was a Klan member and a Southerner and a Democrat and President Pro Tempore of the Senate until 2010. Now we’re down to 5 years ago. TBC the best sheets in his house were on hangers!
Then there are the various acts and amendments in support of Civil Rights since “150 years ago”. All but one brought in by Republicans. And the one that wasn’t had more Republicans voting for it than Democrats.
