    it’s sad to see someone that I’ve admired for so long take such an odd turn in opinions. he’s missing the entire point of who’s fighting who and for what reason.

    Case in point: an entire religious sect has turned against America, and he compares our reaction to them to our reaction to a singular crazy person doing a singular crazy thing. the reaction needs to be cultural, not military. it’s not something you can send in Seal Team 6 and take care of.

    I think you missed his point Tiki.
    He’s saying this isn’t a singular crazy person….that its a symptom of a very deeply ingrained cultural ill that America is trying its hardest to pretend isn’t there.

    And that more effort, lives and money are spent overseas when the greater danger is at home.

    I don’t think he’s advocating a military solution at all.
    More like this domestic cancer that’s eating America from the inside should be a more pressing concern than playing whack-a-mole half a world away.

    Pretty sure he’s comparing the priority, money, effort and lives lost.
    You know….instead of going to war, wasting all that money and American lives, we should be concentrating on domestic issues and spending that money at home.

    I really didn’t get that he was advocating a military effort from that speech.
