I hate to say it for fear of ‘betraying the sisterhood’, but Madonna has lost the plot. The interviews she gives are massively contradictory. On the one hand she wants the public to accept her as a woman in her fifties who’s still a strong force, sexually and musically, on the other hand, she’s doing that by aping younger artists and pumping her face full of fillers. We all knew she was an exhibitionist who wouldn’t go quietly, but this is just embarrassing. She desperately needs to relax and ‘reinvent’ herself in a completely different direction. She totally should be ‘visible’ and ‘relevant’ but she doesn’t need to do that by flashing her tits and ass, banging on about drugs, waving guns around and swearing. These tactics are NOT working. Take of those stupid gloves and say, “So I’ve got veiny hands. So what? This is what happens to athletic, older women who don’t carry much body fat. It’s not a big deal. Watch me dance like a twenty year old! Being in your fifties is not something to be fearful of.”
