This offers considerable latitude – somewhere between a couple of MRAPs, a cordon and air support on the one hand and maybe ___ minutes response time to investigate the savage beating/murder on the other. Maybe “police presence” is to walk immediately behind a couple of beat cops? Or maybe running alongside a police cruiser? The aged and the infirm (preferred victims) might have difficulty keeping up but hey …Darwin!
Back to the vidclip – a recent study shows cops hesitate more, err less when shooting black suspects. Other stats show cops kill more unarmed whites than any other demographic. Hmm. Given all that, if one is white, and since many cops are shit marksmen, maybe a bit of distance from that “police presence”??
