Did you know there is one man living on that rock? He gets paid to keep it clean of guano and thereby stopping US citizens from invading as per the Guano Islands Act of 1856. It takes him 364 days to do a complete cleansing circuit (he gets Christmas day off to get drunk) and as you can tell, is doing a marvelous job, not one spot of guano or an American in sight. I believe his name is Michael and is usually extracted by helicopter.
