Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a big GDT fan, but this looks a bit iffy. The design is overdone to an uncomfortable degree. Nothing in it looks real. The house in The Haunting (original version) was a big, f**k off, Gothic pile, but it looked like a real house, inside and out. Having elements of realism in a fantasy is a really important component in making it all work. He accomplished that beautifully in The Devil’s Backbone. I’ll still be going to see it, but I’ll be guarded in my response. Great cast though.

I kinda like the over the top fantasy goth graphic.
The story is pure fantasy….why not the setting…?
It is what GDT does best.
My wife when she has her period? I avoid.
