    Can’t speak for entire US or any other states. But In CA, 50% of state tax were coming from 1% of tax payers. So I figure, it’s only fair they get larger slice of pie.

    Income is not distributed; it is earned. Not saying that is fair but it is more fair than any other system we have come up with.

    But as far as “earned”, I’m pretty confident in saying that a great proportion of those controlling most of wealth in this world did not “earn” it in any sense of the word you or I might understand.

    Don’t be daft. If you don’t think the WalMart heirs work about 175,000 times harder than their employee that scrubs toilets for minimum wage so that they can earn their 1.5 MILLION dollars per hour, you just don’t understand the meritocracy.
