Testing a barrier design for “pedestrian safety”.
Not sure if this counts as a successful test though….the hood and engine block flew about 50 feet past the barrier.
If you watch carefully- you’ll notice that the engine and transmission are pushed onto the ground under the truck- and barely get past the barricade. Check out the drive shaft.

All I can think about is what happens to the driver’s legs.
well if he’s carrying a truckload of explosives and is trying to blow up a day care, who cares?
The driver compartment being cut like a frigging Ginsu commercial wouldn’t seem optimal either.
But I assume it’s not meant for any area a truck should be in so cest la vie if it’s needed I suppose.
Mall entrances for example, or pedestrian only areas.
