The first “border” was good. The second one had a really great action sequence. The last two were boring as hell.

she actually doesn’t consider the “sexy” that much…just practicality. Her primary combat style is stealth and quick strikes. Anything over the chassis just restricts movement. Batou on the other hand is all about Stability and Suppression. Which is why he always has extra armor and eventually gets an arm modified with a built-in cannon. Even if their genders were flipped…I would still expect them to dress the same way as that fits their combat style.

Nigga, please, watch the first movie. She had armor, and “normal” tits. Only later someone got “the bright idea”, to “Lara Croft” her.

a little bit bigger than in the movie…about the same size as in Stand Alone Complex. Though she typically wore a baggy t-shirt over her combat bikini instead of that leather jacket. (But really…Masamune would go to any length to draw oiled-up boobs. He even stated that even though the Major has a boyfriend, every shot of her in bed was with a woman because “dudes are gross”)
She was also a lot more expressive in the comics…rolling her eyes at the Chief during a lecture, sticking her tongue out at Batou when he makes a dumb joke… … …actually laughing. The animated Major is actually really depressing now that I think about it.

and I completely forgot she did have a kevlar jacket for the very beginning of the tank fight, and she rips it off herself to get better mobility…ah well…that means I’ve forgotten enough to be able to watch the movie and it feel new again. You get a point for that.

I just read a review of Arise… … …and you’d probably hate it. She’s more sexualized in this body, and often portrayed as weak and helpless to the point of this version of her doesn’t even own her own body (It was a military project to plant an unborn fetal brain into a robot body…considered a failure but still a useful “asset”), and she constantly seeks out her boyfriend for validation…and for some reason…there is a shower scene…why would she need to shower with a body that doesn’t sweat or shed cells/hair and has a dirt-resistant coating? Oh yeah…so we can see her naked.
