Went to see this restored version last night. It was a digital projection (Don’t know what the fuss about film vs digital is all about. I’m looking at you Tarantino and Nolan) but still the best picture quality and sound I’ve ever experienced. It was shown exactly the way it was in 1968 with a musical prelude and an interval. Thank god for the interval! Everyone went scrambling to the bar for coffee because they were unused to the glacial pace and wanted to stay awake for every single, beautiful moment.
