    Moorcock is a genius, lot’s of movie material here, too bad Hollywood did’n look into those book.

    last picture is actually from Final Fantasy 5’s concept art by Yoshitaka Amano. That’s Faris (a girl that dresses as a man) holding her sister in the front, Barts and Krile on the right, Galuf and either King Tycoon or Cid on the left… … …I have no idea who the female-looking knight in the back is…probably an early Exdeath.

    Nice catch. I assumed since Amano did other Elric illustrations, this was one of them. But this would explain why I couldn’t place the other characters in the pic.

    Yeah…pretty much everything Amano draws follows the same theme…I mean…Faris is a pirate…but she looks almost exactly like his Cecil art from FF4, Sephiroth from FF7, and of course…the drawings he did of Elric. Not to say it’s not beautiful work…just…he loves that “dark swordsman” archetype.
