Y’know. I have to agree with you. They were selling it dirt cheap for Kindle so I bought a copy in the aftermath of True Detective. I thought it was okay but no masterpiece.
I picked up a copy for the same reason actually. The Repairer of Reputations and The Yellow Sign are alright, though I don’t find them as strong as anything of Lovecraft’s. The second half of the book isn’t even anything to do with The King in Yellow.
