Some of the best humour isn’t all that fair. But to be fair … the French have lost generations of their men charging toward the sound of gun fire rather than away from it. Most recently the French have attended Afghanistan and must be defending natural resources of some kind fighting and dying in central Africa. If it is the perfidy of a nation as represented by national leadership that is the issue, well who gets to sneer on that one? Canada under Trudeau et al? The US under obama right now? Spain? OK maybe the UK and Oz.
