That’s not how a Katana is suppose to be used.
Katana were never meant to bash against other swords. They are cutting weapons.
Try a kanabo against a claymore.
The Samurai never defeated a foreign army; in there one encounter with the Mongolians and their allies they got their ass handed to them.
1) Katana is a “slicing” weapon.
2) Not all Katana were forge the same.
3) Watch less anime.
Yeah…it does well against traditional Japanese armour though…which is made out of very (ridiculously)thin iron plates and leather covered in lacquer….Iron didn’t come cheap in a land with practically none as a natural resource.
