Yep, they’re official:
Hope we at least get a glimpse of Asshai in the books before the whole thing ends, thinking it was the polar opposite of the northern realm of the Others (& where dragons come from, besides,) but now I’m like, “what’s this ‘Ulthos’ place…?”
so what’s the whole world?
I think it’s just the “known” world; probably about a third of what that world holds in terms of total land/sea, if you need to think about it in terms of global area. I think this is meant to be looked at in the same way as ancient, incomplete maps –vast areas of terra incognita, waiting to be discovered/explored.
The same artist put out an entire book of GoT maps back a year and a half ago. Seems pretty cool (but it’s out of stock and the price has skyrocketed)
Strangely enough the Hardcover is only around £25 on Amazon.co.uk if that’s any good to you? Not sure how that’d work out with postage and all.
cool – vote for sticky for a few days
HODOR.
Anybody spy “Carcosa” on the eastern edge, below the “Hidden Sea”?
