I’ve seen this film so many times I’m sick of it now. But in the interests of fairness I’ve given it the maximum number of stars because it is a great movie. (Especially the second half when it becomes fantastically grim) However, there are also loads of great Christmas movies that no-one knows about. When I’m feeling more awake I’ll make a little list.
Thank you for being so fair with your vote. I too, have watched it too many times, but I’m back to the point where I can watch it again and enjoy it.
Looking forward to your list.
I gave this the minimum number of stars because fuck you.
“He’s making violent love to me, mother!” (What I want to know is why Mary needs glasses if she doesn’t marry George)
The list! And all from the forties.
Remember The Night – www.imdb.com/title/tt0032981/
Holiday Affair – www.imdb.com/title/tt0041473/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_1
The Man Who Came To Dinner – www.imdb.com/title/tt0033874/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_1
Who Killed Santa Claus?/L’assassinat du Père Noël – www.imdb.com/title/tt0033357/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Christmas Holiday – www.imdb.com/title/tt0036711/?ref_=nv_sr_1 (a noirish little number with Gene Kelly as a psychopath. Something you don’t see every day)
Oh, and by the way anonymous, I’m giving you the maximum number of stars because fuck you and it’s Christmas.
Thanks, I’ll have to check some of these out next year.
Oh. Sorry anonymous. You’re BOB. (This isn’t a very good system, is it)
