The Enterprise is retired. The Lincoln is out of service for a couple of years for refuelling. The Bush is on a brief port call before a major Ex. The Eisenhower is in DPIA which apparently is a bunch of shore work that will increase the eventual duration at sea. What is of greater concern for the Chinese, the Russians, the jihadis, and libtardic America-haters etc, are the number of carriers still out there.
Emptying and then refueling the nuclear reactors does take a good amount of time, but since they have to do that they also refurbish the ship; they do this after about 25 years of service with the expectation that the ship will remain in service for another 25 years.
