    If you change the US teaspoon to 5mls instead of 4.9ml and made in 50 teaspoons in a cup instead of 48, you would now have the metric system. A quart is so close to a litre. You don’t change the names, you just change there value.

    long ton (2240 pounds) , short ton (2000 pounds) and metric tonne (1000 kilograms or 2204.64 pounds) all so close.

    In metric system… water freezes at 0 and boils at 100.
    It’s logic and simple.

    Now go ask your friends at what level does water freeze and boil using the Imperial system… they should know, they’ve been using it all their lives.

    Using the Imperial system ask them to add 7/16 by 23/32… they should know, they’ve been using it all their lives.

    It doesn’t make sense.

    first of all water freezes when it gets cold, it boils when it gets hot, but as far as “add 7/16 by 23/32″…”add” means addition , “by” means divide, its math and you’ve been using it your whole life.

    I agree with your premise but if someone has been using Fahrenheit their whole lives and doesn’t know 32 is freezing and 212 is boiling it’s because they’re fucking retarded not because the scale is illogical.
