I can think of people that made more of a sacrifice than the king of the Jews (that the Jews don’t consider a king).
Considering that if you follow the holy trinity concept he was God all the time and therefore omniscient, so he knew all the time he would be killed and resurrected and the whole thing was just a publicity stunt.
But not all Christians follow that precept, nor do all Christians grovel at his feet. The Quakers believe that all people are children of God and that Jesus was just more in touch with his inner spirit.
