When is Hollywood going to understand that the Shuttles are GONE and will never fly again??? Guess it wouldn’t be as cinematic to have a Soviet capsule hanging off the ISS….
My suspicion is that this project has been around for a looong time. Well before the Shuttles were decommissioned. When they got their green light they probably considered making changes but decided it was best to stick with the original story, as any re-writing at that stage would have a huge knock on effect and change many, many things. So, back to Plan A.
