I agree, it’s one of the worse parts of the CGI film world we have now. This is the same type of shit that gave us the latest transformers bullshit where it’s just a bunch of spinning parts flying around and suddenly you have a fucking robot.
functional and logical moving parts make more sense.

It was made in 1994. That’s probably before some of mcs users were even born.
Well…they also had Zero Point Energy Modules…which were entire universes somehow captured and squeezed into something the size of a shoe-box which they leeched entropy out of to power all their crap.
(and as covered in one of the SG:A episodes…yes…draining a battery kills everyone in that universe…and they ate up those things like a fat kid in a candy store). So if they can squeeze a universe…they can squeeze a piece of unobtanium armor.
@JediaKyrol
Now your thinking about Ra too.
That guy is the non-Jaffa Jaffa First Prime of Ra, or something like that. If it were SG-1 era, he would be a Anubis Guard Jaffa, but it’s from Stargate, the movie, so they didn’t thought it yet.
If you don’t believe me, maybe you’ll believe col. O’Neill:
“There were no creatures like this on Abydos. Those people were human. They were from Earth. Ra brought ’em there thousands of years ago.”
Rest you remembered correctly.
The cinematic magic of Impossifold Armor.

god damn you for making me feel old.
/sigh. my point still stands though, it started way back then and they’re STILL doing it.

Jaffa, cree!
Not a Jaffa.
Ra?
According to O’Neill, just plain humans.
possessed by a roswell alien…later retconned into snake parasites, and the roswell aliens were the good guys (and also norse gods)

Oh yeah…Ra was a little kid…man it’s been donking forever since I saw the movie…
