Impressive looking, steampunk, but none of those pins are gonna move. Look at the floor, no holes for em to go into and nothing for them to catch on to keep it from being opened. Still it’s impressive looking.
The pins wouldn’t have to have their own holes, they’d just have to get past the inner lip of the door frame. And there’s likely some temporary covering that goes over the space in the floor where they’d go –otherwise you’d have this trough in which you could break your ankle, and that nothing wheeled would roll over.

floor plate does indeed lift up…and the pins don’t go in holes, they brace against the back-plate of the portal.
