What she said was that societies that embrace homosexuality collapse within ten years, according to “studies”. That doesn’t necessarily relate to gay marriage. Canada has legal gay marriage but I can tell you that in all the parts of Canada I’ve been to, homosexuality is kept much more secret than in San Francisco.

The uber-example of a pro-homosexual society was ancient Greece. There was no gay marriage in ancient Greece, but gay relationships were common and absolutely not secret in any way. They didn’t collapse within ten years: they thrived for over a thousand years, made major progress in mathematics, architecture, etc. Conquered the frigging middle east and Egypt. When the Romans finally conquered them, the Romans started to become more Greek than the Greeks. Caesar’s last words were in Greek, for example. Most wealthy Romans thought it was more important for their children to learn Greek than Latin, and payed through the nose for Greek teachers. The Romans conquered the Greeks on the battlefields, but the Greeks conquered the hearts and minds of the Romans.

So the basic premise that a society that embraces homosexuality will collapse within ten years is inherently wrong: we have well established historical facts to show that it is wrong.

Believe what you want to believe about homosexuality. But if you start saying you have studies to prove what are definitely historical falsehoods, you are a poor propagandist and should not be taken seriously.
