No, seriously, this movie was so good I watched it again the next day. There quite a few movies I watch twice; most are years apart, but a very few I will watch within days of each other.
There are some badass “Oh shit!” moments to be had. If you watched the Raid: Redemption and enjoyed it then you will love this (and if you haven’t seen the Raid then see that too).
First of all, it’s an action movie with no outstanding accomplishments in acting. That said, it’s a movie worth seeing for a few reasons: It looks really good (slow motion effects in particular). The action is believable and the universe is interesting, making me want to see more of it. Oh, and that guy that plays Dredd has a big part of his face covered for the entire movie, just like when he played Bane.
production: $50,000,000
box office: $13,414,714
dredd indeed.
Made ~$32 mil world wide, and then there’s this:

People speculate that there might be a sequel now.
not seen this yet, is it any good?
was it good? of course not.
This movie is the best movie ever.

ok I’m convinced, big 2000AD fan as a kid, so was looking forward to it.
oh, so it only lost $18,000,000? well, that’s much better.
Why does it seem like you were paid to trash this movie?
Did you not read the article about it making money on the DVD and bluray sales?
And yes, not losing 18 million dollars extra *is* much better.
As a fan of Judge Dredd I can say that i fucking loved this movie.
soooo, better than the Stallone version?
Yes.. the creator of Judge Dredd even loved it
