Reminds me of an anecdote about Voltaire, where he sent out 100 anonymous letters to 100 prominent Parisians; all contained only the same terse statement:
All is discovered; flee at once.
Something like 2/3rds of them packed up & bolted within 24 hours. Many never returned.

How fortunate for Monsieur Arouet that He did not live to see this demonstrated in his Native France during the Revolution.
