Much more practical than an Abrams in most situations, but sturdy enough to hold up in a fight, but when they were Soviet deterrents and now in Afghanistan. Also a solid mid sized tank with a 120mm smoothbore and enough ammo to play for keeps.

Factory test model, perhaps? It has a curious lack of insignia, or much in the way of the markings of any sort that an ‘active service’ vehicle collects.
2A5 or later. Anyone know the specific model or who is fielding it?
Military-Today list this tank as Leopard 2A4 with a modular upgrade package. Here’s the link if you want. www.military-today.com/tanks/revolution.htm
Ah, the armor upgrade threw me. That and I didn’t think that the 2A4’s had as angled turret fronts. I stand corrected.
All in all, a pretty good tank.
Would drive again.
