I think dr. Doom should be a little afraid – a lighting bolt+ metal is a “fun” mix. But since he (supposedly) put that mask on when it was still hot, maybe he looks forward to that.
I’m betting he figured out how to ground it early on.
This was the X-Men issue that got John Byrne all creased –he was doing FF at the time, and devoted a whole page in a future issue towards explaining how ^this Doom was actually one of his many robot decoys, not the real one.
What pissed him off so bad? Chris Claremont had Arcade strike a match off Doom’s armor, an impunity Doom would never suffer without killing him.
