I used to feel that way but after 20 years away from home and living for 10 of those years in a shit country, under a shit right-wing Conservative government where nothing f**king worked except pure corruption by the upper 1 percent (yeah, Mitt keeps his money hidden there also).
That shitty experience cleared my idea about how important it is to vote for me. Today, I can not tell you enough about what a privilege it is to vote and help keep those same f**king bastards out – back in the US of A.
(believe me, I never in a thousand years thought I’d ever, ever say that – 10 years there cleared up my perspective about what happens when people don’t give a shit. The worse part about that lesson: my f**king old man was right!)
I think you only learned half the lesson. You know what happens when people don’t give a shit, but you still think that using, supporting the system (voting) is giving a shit, changing the system.

I don’t think this is about voting/not voting so much as accepting that nobody’s perfect and it will always be the lesser of evils.

Personally I just shit in the sink, but to each his own
I took a shit on the floor of the Romney stall.
