    R8 won’t slide. It’s design keeps it too well sucked to the ground. The faster you go the less likely you’ll fish tail.

    I agree. As soon as I heard the R8 referred to as the poor man’s Ferrari it lost it’s appeal with me.

    Also, magnus-buttfoorson, someone referring to the Audi R8 is almost as retarded as you being turned off of them because someone called it so. The Audi R8 is an amazing piece of engineering (also has no problems getting sideways at any speed if you want it to).

    It’s not like I made up the expression and like it or not it’s a dated but low end supercar. I’m sure it’s a maverick but you’re wrong about the slide. Over or under steer it’s not an easy car to budge at all. That’s part of the amazing piece of engineering you mentioned. I don’t own one but I’ve been in them and it’s very true. ffs it’s a mid engine.

    Okay, you’ve been in one, but have you driven one? The car does what you want it to do…it’s incredible. The .gif pictured is Jeremy Clarkson driving it slowly around a corner after the test drive sequence singing its praises for just that reason, while Richard Hammond comes blistering around the corner in his Porsche to try and beat the R8 around the track, which he cannot.
