This photo has been debunked over and over. The soldier is actually a recruiter and he is holding a flag that was left at their office by protestors. They took the photo as evidence.

Strangely enough, those who left the Flag would be the first targets of those people that they are protesting the Military fighting.
I disagree. They wouldn’t be first as they would be “useful idiots” and be very helpful at first. After a time though they’re welcome would wear off and down they go.
Who the hell signs up for the ARMY thinking they’re gonna get military training for freedom?
You get enlisted either cause you’re in it for the money or because you wanna see some action, regardless of your shitty moral compass (because you already know of USA’s shitty moral compass).
Gotta hate it when mindless USAders say things like “our troops are out there defending our freedom” like killing for oil on the other side of the world has anything to do with their freedom.

First off you dont make any money for being in the military. its not the life styles of the rich and famous. its day by day. And the soldiers fighting dont make the calls, the people in Washington do. Soldiers have familys to feed as well. there normal everyday people, they just have a heavier burden then most.
Either you’re a broke ass would-be soldier or you’ve never seen the figures the recruiters talk to potential recruits about, they promise many things, most of them money related.
Oh Boo-hoo Washington makes the decisions, because we’re all ignorant about all the unnecessary hate campaign towards the Middle East. We just HAVE to go and set a good example of what civilized people are like!
There sure can’t be staggering amount of people that are stupid enough to say they’re willing to “fight for freedom” when so much of the bullshit has been put in the public eye, they’re people that saw the alleged war on terrorism as an easy money ticket.
Or maybe they are just that stupid and actually believe they’re fighting for a greater (good) cause. Either case, they deserve the shit they get.
I am just now breaking the level of income that I made as a Navy E-5 with five, sub pay, pro-pay and housing. I got my third chevron and could have hit the cap had I re-enlisted.
I was already in four years when the Trade Center was hit. Watching what Cheney’s Sock Puppet did with the military made me sick; one of the reasons I did not re-up. Under the UMCJ, it’s potentially an imprisonable to actively protest your CIC, no matter how paper thin the excuses to start a war.
I joined for what I though was a good opportunity for a good tech field and ok pay, and serve my contry (I respect the hardship of those with boots on the ground).
I hate how “Support the troops” changed from being just that, to a cry of Nationalism, to drum beat of Jingoism.
I bet your tune would change if you actually experienced life overseas. Seriously. Go join the military or go work in a bureaucracy and see if you still say, “Oh boo hoo Washington makes the decisions.”
Because I bet that you would see things differently once your finances or well being are directly in the hands of the President, Congress, or bureaucracy.
True. Now go beat your face.
You do realize what “beat your face” means right?
but there is shame in still using a CRT monitor..

How d’you figure that then sparky?
because fags and jews like to whine (protest)
so he right, fatty

So why is this a surprise to these guys?

Go get some real perspective, bud.
