Not really. I read the books before the show came out. I knew what to expect.
My comment stems from trying to watch GOT with people who are unfamiliar with it. I watch it with two of my friends. For most of the first season they assumed GOT was a generic good guys vs bad guys narrative. They’re only now catching on that this show is a bit more layered than that.
This is right before Stark murders a guy, right?
