Sorry. But this ship seems to be one of the more WTF, what exactly is reasoning for all that wasted space, doesn’t seem practical to me, let’s not put the nacelles at the end of the wings (which might or might not make sense even if they did), I guess we’re doing it for show POS.
There seems to be a fine line when it comes to science fiction ship/hardware design, between making something look plausibly practical and making it look “cool”. I agree with you in that they seems to have bent over backwards design-wise to make this resemble a bird-coming-in-for-the-kill, complete with curled-in wings and nacelles that are positioned like claws/talons ready to strike. I still think it looks cool, but yeah…that whole curled-in hull at the sides is a bit WTF.
But that’s the beauty of scifi: there’s always a nerd right around the corner ready to retro-engineer it for us so that it all makes perfect sense!
