It’s true that foolish ideas may be unproductive in practice and fanatics might harm others in hurtful acts. It’s also true that wise people may doubt many things but be certain of many other important matters. For example, Russell is well known for being sure of one thing. That something is that there is definitely not a creator God of any kind. Of that he became certain. I don’t know if that ever troubled him once he decided it was so.
