Thanks –only now I realize that the second sword is a wakizashi. Arrgh…title fail.
The wakizashi is still in its scabbard on his belt. They are both holding their katanas.
The degree of curve certainly varies among swordmakers, but I think the excessive-looking curvature of the upright blade is just angle and lighting.
Are you sure? I actually own one, and it’s pretty much the exact shape/dimensions… Fuggit. I’m done second-guessing samurai. :/
