Artwork and stories from the Creepy and Eerie series were always fun and wildly imaginative. Richard Corbin and Frank Franzetta brought new worlds into existence. I wish I had kept and bagged the 35 cents issues in 1964 to $2.25 in 1983. The black and white ‘Twilight Zone’ like quality won’t compare to today’s manga. But if you know of these and want to immerse yourself in original creative art, the internet… never forgets.
Dark Horse Comics has re-released both Creepy and Eerie in beautiful hardcover volumes, each containing 5 full issues of the classic magazine in each entirety, including ads. They have released 11 volumes of Creepy and 8 volumes of Eerie to date. Check em out!
