He’s a lot more moderate in terms of social views, but fiscally conservative. I’d support him for Prez down the road, but first I want him to finish what he started here in Jersey.
Real fiscal conservatism I like. Unfortunately today it seems to consist of three things for a lot of people:
1. Cut taxes for billionaires.
2. Cut taxes for billionaires again.
3. Cut the budget to things that they ideologically oppose, but nothing that will actually fix the problem.
This is a D and R problem, so no one pretend I’m singling anyone one party out.
It’s cool that he’s at least socially moderate, but he won’t get tea party support unless he stands in airports and boos Gay soldiers on their way to Afghanistan.
Christie’s done a good job in NJ. I’m glad he’s finishing his term instead of trying to run for Prez. Before Christie, the last gov. that genuinely tried to fix anything in NJ was Florio.
He’s actually going to finish his term and not bail for bigger opportunity? He’s actually going to try to do the job he was elected to do? Inconceivable!!!
Seriously though, that’s classy. I like that.
Right now Sarah Palin is frowning in her tour bus.
He’s pretty shrewd and I think it’s a shrewd move for him not to run, for the reasons mentioned above but also because, if Obama wins a second term, he’ll be the top Republican nominee out of the gate in 2016, running against a non-incumbent, and with a solid track record in NJ behind him (assuming he doesn’t fuck things up btw now & then.)
My only reasons for disliking him:
1) If he doesn’t lose weight he’s gonna be Howard Taft – The Sequel
2) He hollers at people –which I’m mostly okay with, except in his case it makes him look like Limbaugh infected with a rage virus
3) Having a president named “Chris Christie” is like having a boss named “Jimmie James”
Well, as I’ve said before, the crash was in full swing when he came into office. He did the best anyone could do: Damage control. Could anyone have done better? Maybe. But I seriously doubt anyone could have turned the crash around by now. There are way too many outside factors involved.
Besides, Congress has more power to “fix” the recession than the president himself does.
Glenn Beck for president?
Damn tiki. Trollin’ the left and right.
Take heart: Chris Christie would’ve eaten both of ’em by now.
I haven’t been paying a lot of attention to Chris Christie. Is he Palin/Bachman/Perry crazy or more generic republican like Romney?

I did single out a particular party there.

Christie has called the religious right “whack jobs” too many times to run nationally.
Only Sarah Palin knows what to do.
Nah, it’s cool….they white.

Fuck off with your facts and and reasoning bullshit. Next you’re going to tell me the birth certificate is real.
Remember, this is politics. Rhetoric trumps Reality.

Can I interest you in some tar sands and master of fine arts degrees?
I rate your impression a 7/10
You’re hitting all the right notes, but you’re not hostile enough. You also need to crank the delusions of grandeur up to schizo levels.
said the guy that got shot up the asshole
On the ass, not in it by the way.
Admit it, you were just looking for a reason to talk about that 🙂
Can’t wait for Herman Cain.
Is your pizza late?
So the new thing is to hold Obama responsible for the Great Depression of the 1930’s? Have they tried to connect him to the Titanic disaster yet?
