(Reuters) – Amy Winehouse, one of the most talented singers of her generation whose hit song “Rehab” summed up her struggles with addiction, died in London on Saturday at the age of 27.
Sad, but not entirely surprising.

I am deeply disappointed in the reporting of this story. “This shocking turn of events….” Really? You’re not doing any service to society by lying. She lived ridiculously hard and proudly announced that she was not going to seek help. Nobody is shocked. This is not a message you send to people: that you can indulge in hard drugs and expect to live to a ripe old age. I don’t miss her. She was as good as dead in my mind the minute I first heard “Rehab”. I don’t think appending “hard drugs kill people” to the story is editorializing.
