My child-from-another-species broke his hip bone. They had to take out a gross amount of bone. He walks with a limp now and chills out on the couch with momma every night since he was been home from the vet.
I’m not sure, I came home from my weekend job and found him hurt. Vet says that type of injury is caused from falls or being abused 🙁 He is pretty clumsy, he probably tried to get to the top of the entertainment center and didn’t make it.
He is a fatten. The more plush though the more to cuddle

My girlfriend’s Tonk had the same thing happen… except he died after a few days from an acquired respiratory thing he caught while at the vet. I suspect it is fragile bones due to (in)breeding, since they do have a very small gene pool they seem to be working with.
I actually submitted this post a month ago. He is doing much better, the stitches were taken out a couple weeks ago and the limp is gone, he chases with his brother. He is still a completely different cat, before the surgery he was a complete loner cat but now he is a mama’s boy. The fur is taking forever to grow back though, you can barely make out any progress in its growth.

My cat broke both hips. First time we took him to the vet. Second time the vet said “ahh, just leave it alone, it’ll probably just heal on its own.” It did. He’s still catchin’ birds.
THAT looks painful, poor thing!
How he did break it?
