    I’m pulling up specs and images for said year/model, and I don’t see that hideous front fairing anywhere. Maybe custom (who knows why, packing that empty space with drugs?)

    I never have, either. They are so weird looking! Goldwings came as Standard models back then, and everybody added the fairings and bags. 1983 was the last year that there was a Standard model sold. So, these are some kind of aftermarket items- I was hoping somebody could identify them.

    WTF is the benefit of having the headlights that far past the axis of rotation? It’s ugly and it’s unsafe. That’s just effin’ stupid. Goldwings are, and always have been, solid touring bikes, but what the hell is the thinking behind that hideous fairing?
