I see them used for Tobacco regularly.
In UK it’s mainly rizla, and no one uses the same papers for both – the most tell tale sign which often gets an “oh yea?” with a smirk from clerks is buying cigarettes and king size slim blues or *spit* silver. Not sure if thats the same in US – small papers for tobacco, bigger/narrow papers for weed.

This is true I saw it on TV.
Buuuuuut….. In UK we now have bluntskins!!! Wooohoo foil sealed individually wrapped (and flavoured) cigar papers for rolling our own big fatties. Only problem is lack of decent green. Its not the same when your blunt is 95% tobacco and 5% resin.
