Dubstep will envelop the worlds musical taste. Or die like disco. It kindof is new age disco if you really think about it… bunch of high as kids trippin’ just like the good ol’ days.
Deadmau5 is mainly Electro House. If you want to hear Dubstep done proper, a good example is “Skrillex – Rock N Roll Will Take You To The Mountain” from his “Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites EP”. Or you can listen here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQ4hVlrrSeE
Yeah I know. I don’t care for dubstep. But yeah Skrillex is quite the skilled artist in the dubstep genre. Good thing he’s with mau5trap. www.beatport.com

Jesus… the American definitions of genres is a world apart from ours (UK) – don’t get me wrong I’m not being a youtube commenter of “LOL THIS ISNT THAT” just pointing out how different it can be taken. Happens with techno too (yup, DETROIT techno 🙂 ) – maybe it’s just because most americans I talk to aren’t into it so they have a rough idea rather than just plain associating it differently.
Definately agree with the content there – coming from Garage/2step – like mild drum and base with a “wobbling” baseline. Burial mentioned a few times in it.
Hate his music
No u
If Casefags hates Deadmau5, then that makes Deadmau5 cool.
And if I like something, that means you all must not like it because you have no taste.
HA hahahaha! Aw cute, he thinks he’s people.

This would be my take on Dubstep –

That sounds more like chillout, darkwave, or downtempo. THIS is a better explanation of Dubstep: coltculture.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Dubstep-Its-kinda-like-that.jpg

The songs in the two links you posted didn’t have much of that, so they’re more like early Dubstep. These days I really prefer the “bass cannon” type.
He’s actually running a competition at the minute to design his next mau5 head.
