    Try holding that log above your head for an extended amount of time where the blood drains from your arms and decreases your arm strength.

    You can see how her elbows are at her chest level so it doesn’t drain blood from the arms, thus giving her much more energy to hold the log steady.

    They have to. This is a famous SEAL endurance training technique, since in missions they will often be required to carry heavy rubber rafts as they infil and exfil.

    If they can’t stand carrying that log, then they won’t be able to carry a raft and will thus be unfit to be a SEAL.

    I carried heavy ass 20 foot 4×6 beams and it wasnt that hard. But if I carried it above my head like that, I couldn’t have lasted nearly as long.
