    Research tells the story that wearing a mask will actually make you a worse person.

    And yeah, I seem to remember that research mentioning that a uniform and a buzz cut would count as a mask.

    Does that mean that people are intrinsically terrible? Or that who we really are is contingent upon the circumstances?

    I’d phrase it more like “potentially terrible”. We’re social pack animals for better or for worse.

    My life policy is to speak my mind.

    I won’t pretend to be someone else. If someone asks my opinion I’ll give it freely no matter how fucked up they think I am. Yeah this offends some people, normally until they realise they can be totally honest with me in return.

    Honesty really is the best policy. Saves a hell of a lot of time and confusion.

    That sort of flies in the face of troll behavior on the internet doesn’t it? Most trolls would never say the things they say if they could be discovered. And certainly never in person.

    Actually it doesn’t fly in the face of troll behavior, quite the opposite.

    Just because someone that’s afraid of hearing the truth, about themselves or something they cherish, calls someone else a troll doesn’t make the truth less valid.
