So lets take an objective look:
Revelation mentions 666 as the number of the beast.
Revelation heralds the apocolypse.
Apocolypse in the latin means “A prophetic disclosure; an unveiling” – similar to the word revelation itself.
What if revelation isn’t talking about total destruction of the earth, but more a prophecy that our understanding will advance, that science will disclose truths that are echoed througout myths all the way down the centuries.
That perhaps there will be a reconciliation between religion and science.
Matthew 10:26: “the time is coming when everything that is covered will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.”
Or maybe I just smoke too much.
