Windows Media Center has been around since Windows XP, i.e., Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. WMC is also available in Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. So, no upgrade really needed there.
Yep, but seeing as how the “TV” is much thinner than my actual flat panel monitor, it still confuses me!

The difference? The way I understand it is a ‘monitor’ is any standalone device with a screen used to display output from a computer, therefore a television could be used as a ‘monitor’, what you have listed here as ‘monitor’ should be ‘crt monitor’ and ‘flat panel’ could be ‘flat panel monitor’ or ‘lcd monitor’ or ‘oled monitor’ depending on the tech.
Should have done one marked “PC” not “PC” for all the old folks and young kids.
If I see one more add for a laptop or notebook being sold as a PC I’ll bust up a crt !
Isn’t this nice of you CM. I can’t think how mankind survived without this for so long!
Well I know that not everyone has the ability to upgrade to windows 7, or has used windows media center.

Oh, is this so you don’t confuse your dad’s TV for your computer monitor again. Useful I guess.

I really just don’t like how everyone refers to flat panels as “TV’s”
If you google TV, you can clearly see it’s a huge tube thing from the 80’s-90’s.
Even “HDTV”s can be huge tubes, even with flat screen.
And technically, all the new “Tv”s are flat panel.
I was about to correct you, then I noticed who I was replying to.
Casemods is always right.

“pc” isn’t a buzzword that effects me because I build my own computers.
RMS and max wattage are probably the only buzzwords remotely close to TV’s that piss me off.
wow my life was going nowhere until I saw this post.
THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.
CM has that effect 😉
“Monitor” applies to all of those except the projector. A TV is a type of monitor. “Flat panel” is a modifier that can apply to any type of monitor.
4/10 almost fell for it
